Wolf Parade are set to return on June 29th with the release of Expo 86.

Check out the two new tracks "Ghost Pressure" and "What Did My Lover Say? (It Always Had to Go This Way)" from the album.

Expo 86 was recorded earlier this year with Howard Bilerman and Wolf Parade at Hotel2Tango in Montreal. Bilerman worked with Arcade Fire on Funeral. Wolf Parade is currently on tour in Europe before playing shows in North America in July.

There was a return to the live recording on this album, with Wolf Parade doing actual live in studio performances and recording live to tape, rather than doing overdubs and lots of digital processing. Old school is the new school, as far as Wolf Parade is concerned.

"We made a real point of writing everything beforehand so we'd be able to record everyone at once in the same room. Most songs have no overdubs (except vocals-- we couldn't do vocals live because of microphone bleed issues and, honestly, unfinished lyrics.) I've recorded this way before and hope to again. I think it makes for livelier, more honest music. I would love to never have to record another overdub again," said Spencer Krug when speaking to Pitchfork.
