There's new music brewing in Cologne, Germany by a collective named Cologne Tape. The group consists of Axel Willner (The Field), John Stanier (Battles), Ada, Jörg Burger (Modernist), Jens-Uwe Beyer (Popnoname), John Harten, Daniel Ansorge and Philipp Janzen (of Von Spar). The music has a live/experimental/kraut/electronic feel to it, according to Resident Advisor.

"The whole thing happened almost by itself. There were these people with different musical backgrounds hanging together, realising that they were listening to the same music which resulted in making music together. We think it has something to do with the place (Cologne) and time (2010)," said Daniel Ansorge when speaking to Resident Advisor.

They release the EP Render on June 14th via new label Magazine, which was founded by some of the members of Cologne Tape.
