The Dead Weather have hidden two tracks on the label of the vinyl version of their new album, Sea of Cowards. Thanks to Richard Allesio, a tip from Pitchfork, and the magic of the internet, we get to hear the scratchy goodness of Dead Weather songs played off of a paper label on a record.
The songs are short, the video is too, and vinyl lives on. Side two almost sounds like it needs to be listened to backwards, further proof that Jack White is the devil.
You'll need to be part of the Third Man Records Vault subscription service to get this version of Sea of Cowards though, as it's part of an ongoing special delivery service from the label.
The Dead Weather did recently play a free show in Chicago, but look to be taking a small break from touring before hitting Bonnaroo and a number of European festivals this Summer. |
