Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer are working together again and that could mean a new album for The Knife. Karin offered up a bit of a tease when she said that she's working with her brother, but has no idea where the music will go or what it will be called.
“Olof, my brother, he's in Stockholm now. We will start to work a little bit as well and we'll see what happens” she said when speaking BBC's 6Music.
She laughingly said “Yes that's Knife and this is Fever Ray. I don't know. I mean, we haven't been working with The Knife things for many years now so maybe we don’t like it, or maybe it's very fun. I don't know.”
The Knife put out Silent Shout in 2006 as their last proper album, except for Tomorrow, In A Year, which came out earlier this year in which they were commissioned by Danish performance group Hotel Pro Forma to create an opera. Not just any opera, mind you, but an opera on Charles Darwin's book The Origin of the Species.
Karin of course has also been busy with a little side project called Fever Ray. She recently played at the Coachella Music Festival in California.
