A pre-sale of Pixies tickets starts today for their Summer Doolittle tour, and ends on June 11th. It's only for fans who register at their web site. The ticket price includes a live recording of the show, which the Pixies will deliver the day after the show.
The Doolittle tour starts on September 7th in Philly, and will end on the 26th in San Diego. They'll play all of the songs from Doolittle plus B-sides like "Weird at My School" and "Dancing the Manta Ray."
In other Pixies news, the band recently canceled a show in Israel, a move seen by some as in response to Israel's poorly handled "flotilla fiasco" last week, in which they met an oncoming flotilla of humanitarian aid in international waters, only to see international outcry from Turkey and Europe, among others. The flotilla was headed to Palestine's Gaza Strip. The Pixies did not say why they were cancelling out of the show, other than to say it was due to "events beyond our control," and "The decision was not reached easily and we all know well the Israeli fans have been waiting for this visit for far too long.
The Pixies show was set to take place in Tel Aviv on June 9th as part of the Pic.Nic festival.
