Kasabian, Vampire Weekend, Kings of Convenience, Gorillaz, Them Crooked Vultures, Patti Smith, Prince and The Prodigy are among those ready to hit the stage at Denmark's Roskilde Festival this weekend. Check out the full lineup.
Perhaps the coolest of all festivals on the planet (and one of the oldest), Roskilde Festival has the credibility, history, and coolness that literally no other festival in the world has.
Tickets are just €190 Euros / $240 U.S. for a 4 day festival, or you can sell your soul to the work camp to get in for free. All in all it looks like a blast.
Roskilde was started by two people in their teens back in 1971. That alone makes an interesting start. But it has existed all of these years while being a non-profit supporting ideals like culture and humanity. Wow.
There's also a Roskilde Lounge, which will feature electronic acts from across Europe and stripped-down singer-songwriter performances in a tent for smaller crowds.
Check out the Spacelab Festival Guide for more information on the Roskilde Festival.
