It seems these days that prominent indie label Jajaguwar just keeps on expanding on their indie arsenal. Bon Iver, Okkervil River, Dinosaur Jr are only some of the names on the label's roll call. And now, The Cave Singers have joined the creative forces at the Bloomington, IN based label.
If you're still one of those people who still think of The Cave Singers as a side project of Pretty Girls Make Graves, think again. With this signing, Derek Fudesco, Pete Quirk and Marty Lund have pretty much solidified themselves in with the indie elite. As reported on the Jajaguwar site, they have recently entered the studio with Seattle producer Randall Dunn, who has produced several releases for the label, including Cave Singers' good friends Black Mountain. This release will be the trio's Jajaguwar debut, and should hit shelves early next year. |
