Experimental and innovative electronic pioneer Prefuse 73 has announced that he's completed a new album which features a lot of great collaborators. There's no formal album title or release date yet, but he says that the album "has proved the most exhausting of all of my records I’ve released in my 'career'…"
The new album will feature contributions from Zola Jesus, Angel Deradoorian (DIRTY PROJECTORS), Trish Keenan (BROADCAST), My Brightest Diamond, Nico Turner (VOICESVOICES), Niki Randa (BLANK BLUE/FLYING LOTUS), Faidherbe, and Adron. Tyondai Braxton of Battles did production work on the album.
"The record came from 2 things for the most part. Creating an album from start to finish with only female voice + a strange fascination/obsession in “contact microphones”. It literally has kept me on lockdown from most the world, like playing shows as much as I’d like to, turning down great people for remixes + collaborations, etc.(that sucks) - anyway, there are tomorrows," he said on his web site. |
