Gorillaz are set to do a world tour in support of their album Plastic Bleach, which was released earlier this year. This is the first time Gorillaz have ever set out on a "World Tour" (it sounds so ironically arena rock).
This tour is being billed the Gorillaz "Escape to Plastic Beach" tour, and will involve dates in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. They've outlined dates as seen below, with the promise of at least 18 more shows to be added in North America. Hot stops in include Madison Square Garden in New York and O2 Arena in London.
Some of the tickets are available now, and of course the Gorillaz fan club, Sub Division, will get first rights with their own ticket pre-sale.
Gorillaz headlined the Coachella Festival earlier this year, and turned in a great live performance.
