Glastonbury 2011 will have an American act as its Sunday night headlining band.

"There's an American artist that I've been wanting for years and yonks, and yonks and yonks, but I really can't tell you who it is... I'm so thrilled about it. Sunday night headliner," said Glastonbury Festival organizer Michael Eavis when speaking to Heart West Country Radio.

The 2011 Glastonbury Festival is set for Wednesday June 22nd through Sunday the 26th for 2011.Fatboy Slim has already mentioned that he's in.

Registration is open for the 2011 Glastonbury show. They're using the usual ticket buying registration scheme to prevent ticket resellers from buying big blocks of tickets. The scheme lets buyers put down a deposit with the full balance due next year.
