Australian electronic/experimental band PVT are releasing a new EP titled Light Up Bright Fires, coming from Warp Records. They've got a new video available for the song (watch above) and the video above for the song "Light Up Bright Fires."

There's also a few downloads available, namely the "Window" as remixed by Dorian Concept and Danimals. It will be released as a digital EP on October 18th.

They're also starting off a big Fall tour.

PVT are in the midst of a new awakening, transitioning from their old name Pivot to their new one PVT, as well as a series of new releases. They're electronic like Auechre, but also sound organic like they use traditional instruments; they've even been compared to labelmates Battles.

PVT changed their name from Pivot to PVT earlier this year, because they were facing legal issues from another band named Pivot.

"It was frustrating and kind of ridiculous, but it became quickly obvious that it was a legal battle in the US we may not even win, and one we just couldn't afford to lose. So in the end, we weren't fazed by it," said band member Richard Pike when speaking to Resident Advisor.
