The CMJ Music Marathon is shaping up to be another huge festival gathering this year, with the release of the 2010 schedule. Now you can choose your panels, shows and party time in a real time schedule of events. Check the Festival Guide for a complete lineup.
They've also got a series of daytime panels and workshops that feature CMJ's ever-inventive names, like "The Future of the Music Business? Really?," "A Camera And Some Balls; How To Shoot Rockstars" and "Reality Killed The Video Star."
One of the founding festivals of modern music festivals, the CMJ Music Marathon is put on by the College Music Journal, a long-standing publication of alternative music. CMJ has been publishing long enough to have written about alternative music when it was still an alternative to the mainstream.
This year's festival will be the 30th anniversary of the CMJ Marathon. It takes place October 19 - 23 in New York City. CMJ was one of the first to champion the multi-club, urban setting music festival that we see today in SXSW and Lollapalooza.
Check out the Spacelab Festival Guide for more information on the CMJ Marathon.
