Matador Records is celebrating 21 years of being in business with a get together titled Matador at Twenty One, promising to be a lost weekend of Matador past and present. Where does the all-American label go for such an event? Las Vegas, baby!  They're offering a live stream of the event through MySpace. It's even available on iPhone or iPad.

To make it big, they've reunited Guided By Voices, in its classic lineup from 1993-1996. That means the Guided By Voices that includes Robert Pollard, Tobin Sprout, Mitch Mitchell, Greg Demos and Kevin Fennell. Other Matador bands appearing include Sonic Youth, Pavement, Yo La Tengo, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Superchunk.

The Matador at Twenty One lineup also includes Sonic Youth, Times New Viking, Esben and the Witch, Perfume Genius, The Clean, MC’s Jeff Jensen, Bob Nastanovich, Tom Scharpling & Jon Wurster, and a late Friday evening presentation by Austin’s Karaoke Underground to the bill. Check out the complete lineup.

Check out the Spacelab Festival Guide for more information on Matador at Twenty One.
