Dan Snaith has opened a Pandora's Box of sounds with his Caribou project: drum and bass, electronic, folk, indie rock, orchestral strings, hip-hop rhythms,Lou Barlow-like bedroom tape collages, and noisy interludes. That's just a start.
Earlier this year, Caribou released an album titled Swim -- now Dan Snaith is ready to launch a remix project of that album. It features remixes by Gold Panda, Fuck Buttons, Junior Boys, DJ Koze and more. Caribou will release the Swim Remixes as a download October 26/November 2 on both Merge Records and City Slang Records.
