All Tomorrow's Parties has announced a new festival named "I'll Be Your Mirror, a festival set to rotate locations. The first incarnation will be in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011. It will eventually take place in cities worldwide and will have a U.K.-based version sometime in the Summer of 2011.
ATP I'll Be Your Mirror takes cues on its name from the song of the same name by the Velvet Underground, which not-so-coincidentally is the flip-side of the song "All Tomorrow's Parties." ATP will collaborate with Japan's Creativeman on a festival lineup. A lineup has yet to be announced.
"We feel really excited that we are finally coming to Tokyo to present some of our favourite Japanese and International artists. It's been something we've wanted to do for many years and this first edition of I'll Be Your Mirror will be a sample of future projects we plan to bring to Japan," said ATP promoter Barry Hogan
