In the continuing news of Trent Reznor week, it's come to light that Trent is currently in discussions to portray Jack Barts in the movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Jack Barts just happens to be the vampire that kills Abraham Lincoln’s mother, so it sounds like a dark role for Mr. Reznor.

It had already been known that Trent Reznor would create the film score for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, so it seems that he's expanding his impact on the film, which also stars Benjamin Walker in the lead role and is directed by Timur Bekmambeto.

The idea that Reznor would play the part of Jack Barts was first reported by Badass Digest and later confirmed by Entertainment Weekly, who confirmed it with 20th Century Films.

And why shouldn't Trent Reznor play the part, because you can never have too much going in the movie industry, right? Trent's move from New Orleans to Los Angeles in 2001 seems to be helping his interest in doing movie scores, with his whole Oscar Award-winning The Social Network film score thing, and the current project of scoring the upcoming release of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
