The 2011 Bonnaroo Festival announced its 2011 line up back in February, ending all the rumors with the announcement of Bonnaroo headliners Eminem, Arcade Fire, Widespread Panic, The Black Keys, My Morning Jacket and Lil' Wayne. The Bonnaroo 2011 dates run from Jun. 9 - 12 in Manchester in Coffee County, Tennessee.
Perhaps the biggest Bonnaroo news is that they're reuniting Buffalo Springfield with both Neil Young and Stephen Stills in on the action. Eugene Hutz of Gogol Bordello will curate a specialty venue called "Global Gypsy Punk Revue."
The Bonnaroo lineup has over 125 bands and more than 20 comedians performing on 13 stages over four days. This will be the tenth anniversary of the Bonnaroo Festival, and in that time, it has become one the U.S.' biggest and best festivals. Set on a 700 acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, it's the playground of the cool kids and the hippies, at the same time, on the same field.
