Cibo Matto Reunite for New Album, "YEAH BASICALLY CIBO MATTO" Tour

Cibo Matto gave us slicked out beats in the nineties wrapped around lyrics that talked about food and life in New York. They were part of the cult of cool that surrounded the Beastie Boys back then. The world seemed to be their oyster ... then they were gone. On hiatus.

Lucky for us, that hiatus appears to be over. After a playing a Japan Earthquake Relief benefit back in March with the likes of Sonic Youth and Yoko Ono, then a few other Japan beneifit shows, thy've decided that it's time to get Cibo Matto back together.

They've laid out plans for a "YEAH BASICALLY CIBO MATTO" tour this Summer, and will be working on a new Cibo Matto album for release sometime in 2012.
