The Coachella Festival has announced that it will be expanding to two weekends for the 2012 festival. Apparently Coachella has become so popular that the only way to expand within the confines of the Empire Polo Field in Indio is to have a second Coachella Weekend. This is good news. Let the rumors for the 2012 Coachella line up begin!

"In an effort to try and accommodate everyone who wants to experience the festival, Coachella 2012 will be two separate events, held over two consecutive weekends. We will attempt to produce two identical festival weekends. That means same lineup, same art, same place, different people," reads the announcement from Coachella organizers.

This year's Coachella Festival was a resounding success, from the off the chart ticket sales to the Coachella live stream webcast with YouTube to things like the Arcade Fire ballon drop.

The Coachella 2012 dates are April 13 - 15 weekend AND the April 20-22 weekend. Coachella tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 3rd, 2011, at 10am PST until the following Friday June 10th, 2011, at 10pm PST, and involves the Coachella Payment Plan.

Coachella has emerged to be the coolest of summer music festivals in the U.S. Picking up where Lollapalooza left off, Coachella has become the stamp of approval that lets people know that any band that plays there is very talented and worthy of your attention. It's located in sunny Indio California, so how can it be bad?
