Voodoo Experience in The Big Easy ... just before Halloween. New Orleans is great city for Halloween, but even better for a festival. You could go for the festival, and stay to party on Halloween. Now in its 13th year, Voodoo Experience combines bohemian culture, arts and the types of cuisine that New Orleans is famous for. Who says a music festival has to be in the Summer to be a good one?
This year’s Voodoo Experience headliner is Soundgarden. OK, Halloween in The Big Easy just got better. Soundgarden is only playing a handful of shows on their Summer tour this year, so seeing them headline the Voodoo Experience might actually be one of the best shows on the Soundgarden tour. A full Voodoo Experience 2011 lineup is due out at a later time. Until then, everything else is just Voodoo Experience lineup rumors.
The dates for the Voodoo Experience are October 28-30.
Voodoo Experience tickets are available in two kinds, but either way you’re buying a three-day pass: the three-day weekend pass for $125, or the LOA Lounge VIP for $375. The LOA (loser on arrival?) VIP option gives you access to special LOA Front Row seats, a dedicated entrance to the festival so that you don’t have to wait in line with all of the “common” ingrates, upgraded restrooms, food and drink specials, full bar services and exclusive live performances. As always, LIVE LARGE. Throw in parking and your LOA Lounge VIP will cost you $425, but who cares? YOU’RE WORTH IT.
