There's a new M83 album due this October, an as-of-yet untitled double album. A source of inspiration was dreams and how they influence your lives. The heady concept album ... it'll be interesting to see how this plays out as an M83 release.
"It's a double album. It's mainly about dreams, how every one is different, how you dream differently when you're a kid, a teenager, or an adult," said M83 main man Anthony Gonzales when speaking to SPIN.
"If you're doing a very long album, all the songs need to be different and I think I've done that with this one. Overall, it's pop — and very epic. Anyone who loved M83 before, they'll love this album even more. People that hated me, they're going to hate this, too."
The album will feature contributions from Zola Jesus and Brad Laner (Medicine), Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Nine Inch Nails, Beck), Morgan Kibby, and will of course feature the Anthony Gonzalez stamp of influence.
