For those that missed Amon Tobin's ISAM tour dates earlier this year, including a mind-blowing set at Montreal's Mutek Festival ... you're in luck. There's more to come.
for the uninitiated, Amon Tobin's ISAM tour involved a revolutionary sort of stage set up, with a number of video screens in cubes, all equipped to handle "projection mapping, generative/audio reactive real time and pre-rendered elements," what this means is that in the image you see above, every side of every cube is a video screen, and each side can have it's own video, or they can all operate in synch to provide the look of one, two-dimensional screen. Amazed? Watch this video of the show and you will be.

As if the ISAM video technology isn't cool enough, the video projections are amazing also. Nothing short of mind blowing, and I'm trying to hold back the props as I write this. Watch the video!
Here's what the press release describes the ISAM tour stage set up:
"Amon conceptualized the show as a projection mapped "visual score" to the music of ISAM. He performs the music as a navigator of a large craft thought a surreal narrative. The spectacular mapped content follows the framework of the narrative carefully storyboarded between Amon and Vello Virkhaus with Leviathian. A collaborative feat between the minds, madmen, scientists, and visionaries."
