The Austin City Limits aftershows were announced yesterday, with gigs like Bright Eyes with Kurt Vile & the Violators, Death from Above 1979, Smith Westerns with Cults and Skrillex with Chiddy Bang. Tickets for the Austin City Limits aftershows go on pre-sale today for the e-list today at 10:00 am, and the mere mortals of the general public on Thursday, July 28th at 10:00 AM.
The Austin City Limits Festival announced the 2011 schedule last week, with some classic lineup battles: conflicting set times on Kanye vs. Coldplay, Kurt Vile vs. James Blake vs. Smith Westerns, TV On the Radio vs. Chromeo, and my personal favorite: Arcade Fire vs. no one. I guess the Austin City Limits planners know how to schedule. You can book an itinerary and then share it with your ACL peeps via Facebook, Twitter or email (if you're still into that sort of thing).
The Austin City Limits Festival announced the 2011 lineup in May, with Stevie Wonder, Arcade Fire, Coldplay and Kanye West as headliners. Other big names include Fleet Foxes, Death From Above 1979, Bright Eyes, Iron & Wine, The Walkmen and TV on the Radio. Check out the festival guide for a complete Austin City Limits Lineup.
As for ACL tickets, early-bird three-day passes are sold out, and regular three-day passes are sold out, and one-day passes for Sunday are still available. This will be the tenth anniversary of the Austin City Limits Music Festival, so it looks like some big events will be planned to honor the decade. The dates for the Austin City Limits Music Festival are Sept. 16-18, 2011, in Zilker Park in Austin, TX.
