The third set of Radiohead - The King of Limbs remixes have been released as a full web stream, and you can listen to the three tracks above. The songs for this edition are "Feral" (Lone RMX), "Morning Mr Magpie" (Pearson Sound Scavenger RMX) and "Separator" (Four Tet RMX). The 12" single is available from the label Boomkat, and the release date is Monday, Aug 1 in Europe and (Tuesday, Aug. 9 in North America. Lone, Pearson Sound Scavenger, and Four Tet are the latest contributors to an ongoing series of Radiohead remixes going on throughout the Summer. So far, the Four Tet remix of "Separator" seems to be most the dynamic, and is a Spacelab favorite.
The first in the remix series was for the songs "Little By Little" remixed by Caribou and "Lotus Flower" remixed by Jacques Greene. The second single in The King of Limbs Radiohead remix series is a reworking of "Morning Mr. Magpie" as done up by Nathan Fake, alongside the song "Bloom" as remixed by Harmonic 313 / Mark Pritchard, and was released on July 14th.
It's been a busy Summer for Radiohead, as they've done everything from playing an impromptu performance at the Glastonbury Festival (as well as a DJ set in the otherworldly Shangri-La area of the festival).
They also did a full performance on the From the Basement TV show, in which they played the song "Staircase," in addition to others. From the Basement is a series of shows produced and recorded at Maida Vale Studios by Nigel Godrich. The show recently got an HDTV replay from web site Palladia TV, in which the new, live "From the Basement" session was available in gorgeous, full hi-def video. The video features a full King of Limbs performance and drummer Clive Deamer playing with the band, along with an entire case of extra characters.
