In this video, Perry Farrell talks about the origin of the name Lollapaooza and how he found it in a dictionary. From there, he set out with the name because it was different than most and would make his make his music festival stand apart. After that, he set out to let every other -palooza that borrow the Lollapalooza name, figuring that the word of mouth name saturation was free advertising. I guess it worked well.
