Grooveshark Gets its Groove on with Boxee

Streaming music service Grooveshark has been added to Boxee. The Grooveshark app is available as free free trial for "a few weeks," then can be added for $9 a month. They're even giving away free Boxee boxes and Grooveshark premium membership through Aug. 15. The Grooveshark / Boxee app comes with the full Grooveshark music catalog, playlists and search capabilities. The Boxee app works on HDTV, mobile phones Andriod, Blackberry and a jailbroken iPhone.

Grooveshark is a streaming music service that can be used on your computer or mobile devices with various mobile apps, including Android, Palm, BlackBerry Nokia, and only a jail-broken iPhone. Boxee is a free service that finds TV shows and movies on the web them and allows you to experience them on your TV.

It came to light last month that Grooveshark had been sued for copyright infringement, by allowing users to illegally listen to or download copyrighted materials. The lawsuit was filed by a collective group of songwriters.
