Wavves are rolling back into the public consciousness with a new EP titled Life Sux on Sept. 20 on Wavves frontman Nathan Williams own Ghost Ramp label. He worked on the project with some interesting partners in crime ... his girlfriend Bethany Cosentino from Best Coast as well as members of the Toronto band Fucked Up. The Wavves EP will be availble solely through independent music stores, and will be available in CD, vinyl and digital formats.

"If the band's previous records were all about one man's self-loathing, this six-song EP takes that sentiment and generously expands it outward, telling the tale of two loathsome characters locked down in Bummertown," reads the press release. So it's a happy album.

Life Sux was produced by Wavves and recorded at Infrasonic Sound in Alhambra. Also: good news for any Wavves fan ... a new full-length album is in the works and will be out sometime later this year.
