Listen to RJD2's Icebird Project: Philly-based Soul with Aaron Livingston

Producer and electronic music mastermind RJD2 has a new project called Icebird, a soul-based vibe that sounds completely organic and tight at the same time. It has a nice live music feel to it, with real drums and keyboards. It all comes out on a full length release titled "The Abondened Lullaby" on Oct. 11 via RJD2's Electrical Connections label.

He worked with Aaron Livingston the project, who's a previous RJD2 partner in crime on "Crumbs Off The Table" from the Colossus album.

"I went into The Abandoned Lullaby knowing my role exactly. Both the engineering and producing – I was able to focus on both here totally, more than almost anything I've done before,"said RJD2 when talking about the project.

Which leaves Aaron Livingston to bring his vibe and vocals, which definitely leave an impeccable mark on the song "Going and Going. And Going."

"Language is always a code, and I wanted to use that idea to expand the range of what I can sing and say," said Livingston,
