Sony has announced a new Sony Walkman with Android software, presenting a reset for the Walkman and a modern face for the age-old player. It's not a phone, but more of an iPod Touch-like device with a touch screen and music-playing capabilities.
Sony showed off the new Walkman at the IFA tech-fest in Berlin last week, much to the surprise of the whole digital music community. The new Sony Walkman appears to be in the early stages, so it's likely that we'll more about this as time goes on. What's known so far is that the Walkman will be part of Sony's cloud-based Music Unlimited Service and will run apps from the Android store as well. |
