Conor Oberst and Bright Eyes played on the on the AMD Stage, with songs like "Shell Games" and "Lover I Don't Have to Love" happening near sundown. Bright Eyes has a had a great rise over the last decade, which highlights Conor as “rock’s boy genius” and Bright Eyes as "indie rock" heroes, part of Omaha's "scene," and I could go on, but it's become apparent that this paragraph is just a ruse for me to insert as many "quotes" as possible into one, "action-packed" block of words. Quotes = soundbite excitement.
