15 years ago, Polyvinyl Records was just a sparkle in the eye of Matt and Darcie Lunsford. They started a photopied fanzine called Polyvinyl Press and grew it into publication about the Champaign-Urbana music scene in Illinois. That lead to releasing vinyl singles, and they were on their way. 15 years later, Polyvinyl Records boasts a big roster that has included names like of Montreal, Matt Pond PA, Loney Dear, Japandroids, Owen, Xiu Xiu, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin and Deerhoof.

Now they're having a 15-year throw down anniversary, complete with a free EP and a show. Listen to the PV15 EP above or download the PV15 MP3 version. The MP3 version includes 30 tracks in all.

And finally, the throw down: a PV15 party in Champaign, IL at Highdive as part of the Pygmalion Music Festival. The show happens on Sept. 24. More info here.
