Blackwater Music Festival kicks off Thursday night with headliners heating up the already hot south. The Flaming Lips, STS9, Girl Talk, EOTO, Buckethead, Easy Star Allstars, are just a few of the many acts set to perform at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Fl. Check out a complete lineup.

Thursday night festies can show up tent in tow to catch the first act at 4 p.m. The real party starts Friday night, with some on-the rise artists performing early in the day and Pittsburgh-based DJ Girl Talk closing the night with his mash-up mixes.

Saturday is the day to visit. Pepper, The Flaming Lips, and STS9 will be performing one after another at the “Meadow” stage. Just bring a blanket, some friends, maybe some libations and post up from 5:30 p.m. until the shows are over. But if former Guns N’ Roses’ Buckethead is more your style, check his solo act out at the amphitheater at 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Whether it’s a light show you’re looking for or a face-melting performance, Blackwater Music Fest is bringing the heat to kick off Florida’s fall fest season. Blackwater Music Festival tickets are on sale for $165 until this Wednesday, $180 at the gate; single-day tickets are $25 for Thursday, $40 for Sept. 23 and $50 for Sept. 24. Call 386-364-1683 or visit www.blackwatermusicfestival.com to find out more.
