Beirut Adds Yet Even More U.S. Shows

The new Beirut album The Rip Tide was released on Aug. 30 via Zach Condon's own label Pompeii Records, and now it looks like an ever-expanding set of Beirut U.S. tour dates are being lined up for the remainder of 2011. The tour is currently underway with Laetitia Sadier from Stereolab, while newly announced shows are with Perfume Genius. Get full listing of Beirut tour dates.

Beirut has also announced a new side project, which will be playing a show on Sept. 30. It's called the "Grover Norquist Quartet." in reference to the leader of the Americans for Tax Reform. It includes Beirut band members Kelly Pratt, Nick Petree, Paul Collins, and Ben Lanz.
