Portishead appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night, playing the songs "Chase the Tear" and "Mysterons."

Portishead are in the U.S. for a tour through the U.S. They just played the ATP / I'll Be Your Mirror festival in New Jersey over the weekend, and will be hitting up a short tour of select North American cities after their stay in New York.

Portishead frontmanGeoff Barrow has said that new Portishead album is in the works, albeit slowly. He said "I'm going to start in January, I don't know when Beth's gonna start or when Adrian [Utley] is gonna start, but I'm gonna get my head together for January basically to start writing." Then again, he said the same thing in 2010 about starting in 2011.
