Phantogram aren't wasting anytime with the gains they've made in the past two years, they're already dropping a new full-length album titled Nightlife on Nov. 1 on Barsuk Records.
"Nightlife is kind of an extension of the whole process of making and touring behind Eyelid Movies, and it feels in a lot of ways like the completion of what we were doing with the songs on that album. The two [records] really go together in our minds. Nightlife couldn't have been written anywhere other than in clubs and hotel rooms during this experience we've been having for the last year or two," said guitarist Josh Carter when talking about Nightlife.
The music of Phantogram is a combination of urban sounds, shoegaze, loops, and more. The band consists of guitarist Josh Carter (vocals, guitar, samples) and keyboardist Sarah Barthel (vocals, keys, samples), plus they added drummer Tim Oakley (The Mathematicians) on drums, so now they're a three piece.
