David Fricke of Rolling Stone did a Thom Yorke interview when Radiohead did their little New York tour a couple of weeks ago, and found out some juicy details about the future of Radiohead and Atoms for Peace -- it includes new music plans.
"We can get things together quite rapidly at the moment," talking about a new song titled "Come to Your Senses." "We have this version of it. It's a five-minute rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need. There are a few of those. It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year. I don't know how we would release them."
So there you go ... when the Radiohead tour flies next year, we're likely to see new music in the set list. As for the new Atoms for Peace album, there's no hurry to deliver, as Thom Yorke wants to make sure everything comes together, saying "It's still in flux. We're waiting for the lightning bolt to strike." Atoms for Peace is Thom Yorke's other band, which includes Flea, Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker, and Mauro Refosco.
Radiohead has been all over the place lately, both online and offline, including appearances on Saturday Night Live, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and The Colbert Report. They also released their TKOL RMX 1234567 remix album.htm this week, with a full live webcast of the release party.
