Pitchfork has decided to create another new festival with Forms, a four day festival in New York that crosses art, music and gaming. Forms will happen next year, over the dates of Feb. 1 - 4 in New York various spaces. The idea is to not just be a music show, but various kinds of media combined in creative ways to explore new ways of interpretation. Pitchfork wants to get its groove on beyond the live show experience, and Forms will combine the idea of Pitchfork Media and video game arts company Killscreen.
"Musicians will work with visual artists, game designers with musicians, game designers with artists. We'll present bands in galleries, artists in clubs, games everywhere in between," reads the announcement from Pitchfork. Tickets for Pitchfork Forms will go on sale shortly, but for now there's no confirmed day that tickets will be made available. The Pitchfork Forms lineup will also be announced at a later time.
