There's a new Gauntlet Hair video for the song “Keep Time,” an explosive scene that plays with light at night in an industrial sector of Portland. The video directed and produced by Bernardo Pantoja and Skyler Stevenson of Wooden Lens.
Gauntlet Hair burst out nationally this year with their self-titled debut album for Dead Oceans, a sort of avant pop meets self-styled post-rock thing that truly sounds unique. Occasionally an Animal Collective or Sun Airways influence rises to the surface, but Gauntlet Hair are definitely a beast of their own making. Their label Dead Oceans had this to say about the video: "The goal for Wooden Lens was to “echo the beautiful texture and disturbing tone” of the song, and color me disturbed – this video is so scary and cool!"
