The Walkmen will release a new album next Summer, and are currently recording it this month with acclaimed producer Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, The Shins). The album will be a milestone, as it will happen in their tenth year of being a band. There's also a tour set to happen, and they're calling it “An Evening with the Walkmen,” a set of shows in Chicago at the Metro and San Francisco at The Independent. As if that wasn't enough, they'll also re-release their first album, 2002's Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me Is Gone on vinyl for the first time. It's a limited edition pressing and you can find out more at The Walkmen web site. |
