Listen to Bowerbirds "Tuck the Darkness In"

There's a new Bowerbirds MP3 out today, part of their upcoming release The Clearing which is out on Mar. 6 via Dead Oceans. The indie folk is band is set to tour in March and April, mostly in large American cities. From the band: "This is a bigger record, with bolder sounds, a broader scope, and more complicated songs. “Tuck The Darkness In,” for example, surges in its final two minutes with a wall of electric guitars and drums, while other tracks feature restless vibraphones, pianos and drums." What you can expect from Bowerbirds is a melting pot of indie rock musical textures and folk styling. Beth Tacular, Mark Paulson and Phil Moore each contribute vocals to the tracks, and each have specialties -- Phil Moore on hi-hat and tambourine, Mark Paulson is amazing on his pedal keyboard, and the fantastic accordion music from band member Beth Tacular.
