With The Roots being the houseband for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, it's natural for Jimmy Fallon to tap the band to preview material from their new album undun, which was released this week. The Roots appeared with special guests Bilal, D.D. Jackson and the Metropolis Ensemble on the song “Tip the Scale.” Old school in the best way. They also played “The Other Side.” undun is a combination of The Roots vision of combining street rap and high art ambitions into one cohesive vehicle. Add to that The Roots undun tells the story of the life of Redford Stephens, and you've got a dynamite package.
