Animal Collective member Avey Tare (Dave Portner) has been playing shows in support of his solo effort titled Down There, which was was released on Animal Collective's own Paw Tracks label lin 2010. The industrious site OneThirty BPM (props) staff writer Philip Cosores caught a show in Los Angeles and found Avey Tare to be playing new music. He then scoured the Internet for video of the show, and found these four tracks.
There’s also new Animal Collective music happening , as Avey Tare also said in an interview last week that Animal Collective are writing new songs, speaking specifically of five new songs that were recently completed. “We just finished another two weeks of writing sessions and put together five new songs,” he said, noting that the crew plans to begin full recording sessions in January. “We’re really excited about this record … and it’s been really fun jamming with those guys again” he said in an interview with Madison.com.
