Class is in session ... Bassnectar knows electronic music and dubstep as well as anybody, and all of the fractious divisions that electronic music splinters down into. In the video above, he talks about many of the different electronic genres like Broken Beat (Trip Hop, Dancehall, Breakbeat, Drum and Bass, Dubstep) and Steady Beat (House, Trance, Techno, Dub). He's done lots of remixes, including the Bassnectar “Lights” remix of Ellie Goulding's song, and is also known for Bassnectar: Timestretch -- an album that got him on the map with songs like “Bass Head” and “Here We Go;” plus the release Bassnectar: Divergent Spectrum.
