The new Memoryhouse release The Slideshow Effect arrives on Feb 28, a new full-length album that will "broaden ambitions hinted at on their 2011 EP The Years" according to Sub Pop Records, who also says "it’s a stunner."
Today the Memoryhouse tour dates were announced in support of The Slideshow Effect and you can chack out the lead single “The Kids Were Wrong” above. Sub Pop is already calling it a masterpiece of visual and sonic proportions: "The title speaks to what hasn’t changed for Memoryhouse: their continuing interest in the synthesis of the aural and the visual. It refers to the photographic/cinematic technique of zooming and panning to animate still images, often used in documentary film making to give movement to archival photographs." Read more |
