Mute Launches Electronic Imprint Called  Liberation Technologies

Classic experimental and electronic label Mute Records has launched a new label imprint called Liberation Technologies, which it promises will be a home to innovative artists. Liberation Technologies looks like it will be a smaller label for artists that want to get their wild on, so that Mute Records proper can focus and larger bands and focus on being a world wide presence. “Electronic music is part of Mute’s DNA and history, and this label is the latest expression of that,” said Daniel Miller, who will run Liberation Technologies. The first release comes from King Felix with the Spring EP on Mar. 19.
