The Noise Pop Music Festival is in full swing this weekend in San Francisco, and like many other music festivals, there's also an accompanying film festival to go along with it. The Noise Pop Film Festival a.k.a. the Noise Pop Film Series includes nine movies in all, five of which are featured here: Cure for Pain: The Mark Sandman Story, 'Upside Down' - The Creation Records Story, RE:GENERATION, Andrew Bird: Fever Year and Blank City.

Noise Pop started in 1993 as a one night deal with 5 bands in a small club, but has grown over time to include multiple days, multiple locations, film screenings, panels, and art. Noise Pop bands include the Flaming Lips doing a boombox experiment, Frank Black and the Catholics doing Pixies songs, Death Cab For Cutie, 16 Deluxe, and more.
