|In the run up to the iPad 3 release date and announcement due in March comes the news / rumor that the iPad 3 is already being shipped to the U.S. 9to5Mac is talking of a rumor saying that shipments of the iPad 3 started from Foxconn to the United States today, from news heard via Chinese website Sina Weibo. The iPad 3 release date is rumored to be nearing and the general concensus on the web is that Apple will do the iPad 3 announcement March 7 in San Franciso and the iPad 3 release date should follow closely after that, possibly as early as a week following. The shipment mentioned by MacRumors is due to arrive March 9th.
9to5Mac has posted a photo of the iPad3 on shipping pallets being loaded onto an aircraft. They quote Sina Weibo: "Friends broke the news: Chengdu International Airport at major international cargo charter flights, cargo owners demanding security, from CTU takeoff by stop PVG Shanghai, and then directly to ORD Chicago, the JFK New York, LAX in Los Angeles, March 9, completed before transport."
It also said: "Our company started undertake a load of top-secured cargo. The owner has extreme requirements for the security. In order to prevent the cargo from being dragged on the airport ramp for too long, as well as shortening the time the cargo stay on the airport ramp, we hereby require XXXX to schedule all the XXX cargo planes from Feb. 26 to Mar. 9. to XXX slot."
iPad 3 features are likely to include Retina Display and enhancements for iTunes Match, iCloud and Siri. iPad 3 specs look towards 4G LTE wireless capabilities with Verizon and AT&T, either an A6 processor (that may be quad-core) or the newer idea of an A5x processor. Flip a coin. The iPad 3 price is not known at this time.
