Rumors End: iPad 3 Announcement on Mar. 7 With Release Date to Follow

The iPad 3 release date announcement is likely to be announced when Apple rolls out the news on the iPad 3 on Mar. 7 -- now an official date, ending the rumors. The iPad 3 release date has been the focus of news and rumors around the release, along with what iPad 3 features might include: Siri, iTunes and iCloud are likely, along with an A5X processor.

Apple has finally announced its iPad 3 announcement that will lead to the iPad 3 release date. I know, we've heard it a million times, but the iPad 3 announcement actually comes from Apple this time. So the iPad 3 event on Mar. 7 is really real, and we'll get to see what actually lays ahead for iPad 3 features and iPad 3 specs, ending many months of iPad 3 rumors and bringing the facts to bear.

AllThingsD ran story today with the headline "Apple Announces March 7 iPad Event." The iPad 3 announcement will happen at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco and will reveal the iPad 3 (or whatever it's going to be called), and gives a better idea of the iPad 3 price might be.

Over the weekend, photos appeared online of what appeared to be the iPad3 being loaded onto a plane and caused a lot of iPad 3 rumors to go flying (Spacelab included) about if it was actually real. Now that we know that the iPad 3 announcement is Mar. 7, it's possible that an iPad3 release date could happen as soon as a week after that, which would be inline with past history from Apple. The iPad 3 price is not known at this time.

iPad 3 features are likely to include Retina Display alongside enhancements for iTunes Match, iCloud and Siri. iPad 3 specs could include either an A6 processor (that may be quad-core) or the newer idea of an A5x processor, and possibly 4G LTE wireless capabilities with Verizon and AT&T.
