Indie band Cornershop have a new album called Urban Turban coming out, with a release date of May 15. They're releasing it via their own Ample Play Records, and you can check out the first single "Milkin' It" in the player above. which will be released on April 9. The press release describes Urban Turban as "... a walk through the hard-drive of Tjinder Singh's head – and it’s a summer breeze with an autobahn of electronic sound, Swedish and French songstresses, Lancashire primary school singers, and a throwback to his Indian folk roots, or what he calls the pre-cursor to hip-hop itself," which sounds like everything that's great about past Cornershop albums. The album features appearances from SoKo, Kay Kwong and kids from the Lancashire, England school Castle Hill, according to NME.

Urban Turban is the follow up to Cornershop And The Double 'O' Groove Of... which came out exactly a year before Urban Turban (minus a day). Hmmm .... They also quickly followed that with their Singhles Club subscription music service.
