New Guided By Voices Album Class Clown Spots a UFO Coming, Hear "Keep It In Motion" Now

Guided by Voices will release their second album of the year in June with Class Clown Spots a UFO on Fire Records. The Quietus is mentioning that a single for the song will be released on March 19 for the song "Keep It In Motion" (listen above in the player) with the b-sides "Pink Wings" and "White World."

"The B-Sides consist of "Pink Wings," a lo-fi snippet on which Pollard speak-sings scary lyrics about wings full of blood over a bed of Beatle-esque harmonies, not entirely unlike Alien Lanes' "Chicken Blows," and "White World," an actual Beatle-esque pop song with horns (or at least horn samples) and a Pixies-like bass intro," reads the statement from Fire Records. Pitchfork also points out that there's a Record Store Day release from Guided By Voices for "Jon the Croc", and on May 15, the single for "Class Clown Spots a UFO" will be released.

This follows quickly on the heels of Let's Go Eat the Cake Factory, the Guided By Voices album released in January of this year, marking the big Guided By Voices reunion of classic lineup: Robert Pollard, Tobin Sprout, Greg Demos, Mitch Mitchell and Kevin Fennell.
